Classical Summer Concert by Dorothy Events

‘Dorothy Events’ present the concert ‘Classical Summer Concert’ at Technopolis 20 Garden, on Saturday, 28th of May 2022.

The programme of the concert will include musicals, crossover, opera & more, sung in Greek, Italian, German and English.

Artists participating are Stelios Georgiou (tenor), Theodosis Cain Grand Christides (baritone/counter tenor), Elli Koutsouli (soprano), Clare Hurrell (violin), Maria Emilia Mantea (soprano) and Panos Metemtzis (tenor).

Doors open at 7pm for bar service

Concert starts at 8pm (no bar table service during the concert / only self service)

Elli Koutsouli (soprano) graduated from the Music School of Nicosia Cyprus, where she attended classical voice, piano and flute lessons. She continued her studies in Classical Singing at the University of Surrey in the U.K. and graduated with First Class Honours in Performance. During her studies she performed as a soloist and as a member of the choir with the University of Surrey Symphony. In the original Odyssey Rock Opera composed by Khamsina, at Courtyard Theatre, Maidenhead, Elli sang the lead role. She performed in many roles eg. Suzanna from Le Nozze di Figaro, Mimi from La Boheme, Pamina from The Magic Fluteand Mahler’s “Wir genieβen die himmlishenFreuden” of his 4th symphony with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. In August 2018 ‘’Il Barbiere di Siviglia” Opera by Gioachino Rossini at the Square of the Medieval Castle in Paphos. Production by the Italian organisation C.I.A.L.M. - Teatro Lirico Italiano in collaboration with the Ventidio Basso Ascoli Piceno Theatre and the participation of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. Elli had the honour of playing the role of 'Berta'. She has participated in multiple master-classes with many famous opera singers. In November 2017 she won a prize at the “Solona Michaelide” contest. and in 2018 she participated at the 37th INTERNATIONAL HANS GABOR BELVEDERE SINGING COMPETITION and was chosen for the final rounds in Latvia. Elli now, performs in Cyprus and is a tutor in her art, in Nicosia.
