About the Event
“Technopolis 20 Classics” presents its annual Christmas Concert, for the first time at the Attikon Multicultural Space, on Thursday, 7th of December 2023, at 8pm. For this special occasion, the bassoonist Mavroudes Troullos and the harpist Eleonora Congiu, join forces to present a programme of chamber music and to create a romantic and dreamy atmosphere.
Not only is it a rare to hear these instruments, bassoon and harp, on the upfront line, but we will also have the unique opportunity to enjoy them together. The two talented musicians coming from Brussels especially for this concert, promise to offer a wonderful specific timbre and ambiance to the listeners. The audience will have the chance to enjoy beautiful chamber music works by mainly French composers where actually harp and bassoon were developed and loved.
The concert will open with a selection of three short works by G. Verdalle and C. Saint Saens, including the “Reverie”, which was the inspiration of the name of this recital. The major work of the recital will be the Chants d'Arriere-Saison by B. Andrès. The next two works to follow, are composed by lesser-known composers but who absolutely deserve more attention: A. Challan and D.E. Inghelbrecht. Towards the end, Mavroudes and Eleonora will surprise you with a couple of beloved Christmas melodies and the concert will come to its end with the traditional Catalan song by P. Casals, El cant dels ocells - The Song of the Birds.
